Sheree Marris
DIRECTOR/PRODUCER/
WRITER
Sheree Marris is a local Marine Biologist, author, communicator and one of Australia’s most passionate and dynamic marine ambassadors. Through radio talkback, television appearances and hosting documentaries she has gained a reputation as an expert in her field. She’s scripted for big budget IMAX movies, presented in Australia’s first live to air underwater TV special, Southern Oceans live and is an award winning author. Sheree has recently finished her sixth book, Octopuses - Underwater Wonders. Her first self published book Melbourne Down Under secured over $5million in free media and was brought to life in a documentary for Network Ten. Western Port Down Under will capitalise on this success and promises to be even bigger and better.

Jack Breedon
DIRECTOR OF
CINEMATOGRAPHY/WRITER
A talented and visionary cinematographer, Jack from Lacelid Productions combines a deep love for the ocean with a sharp scientific lens. Originally from Melbourne, he grew up snorkelling and diving along Australia’s south coast before completing a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Marine Biology at James Cook University. Jack’s photography and science communication work has featured across the Discovery Channel, BBC, ABC, PADI, Parks Victoria, and more. His short film The Kelp Collector recently won the Very Short Film Festival, and he continues to create stunning underwater stories through his platform, Meet Me Underwater.

Jeremy Hogarth

Jeremy is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and writer with over four decades of experience bringing wild stories to life from some of the world’s most remote locations. His global career spans 70+ countries and includes roles at the BBC, ABC, and Natural History New Zealand. A graduate of the London Film School, Jeremy was series producer of the acclaimed Wild Asia and has worked on landmark titles such as Nature of Australia, The Kimberley – Land of the Wandjina, and The Big Wet. His passion lies in crafting powerful natural history narratives that connect audiences to the wonder of the wild.

Prof. Jamie Seymour

SPECIALIST CINEMATOGRAPHER
Professor Seymour is one of the world’s most well respected marine scientists with an expertise in venomous marine animals and reef systems. His skills as a well known global science communicator, researcher and consultant are in high demand which is why you’ll see him featuring in documentaries and advising on big budget movies. His list of talents also include underwater cinematography with a focus on documenting high speed marine animal behaviours never been filmed before which were showcased in Melbourne Down Under.

Alex Stroud

As Commodore of the Warneet Motor Yacht Club, Alex brings deep local knowledge and an infectious passion for Western Port. Growing up on its shores sparked a lifelong love of boating and sailing. Once wary of the region’s mud and mangroves, he now sees them as thrilling ecosystems worth celebrating. Enthusiastic and well-connected, Alex is dedicated to expanding community engagement and sharing the wonder of Western Port with all who live, work, and play around its waters.
